Producing an outdoor wedding in nature has always been a challenge.

On the one hand, there is no other wedding venue that can replicate the natural Décor offered by an open expanse overlooking an Israeli vista.  On the other hand, holding a wedding out in nature requires compound logistic capabilities.

Add to this the uncertainty factor presented by the elements, requiring appropriate preparation and swift reaction.

In so many words, producing a wedding in nature is far from being a trivial effort.

As said before, producing an outdoor wedding requires a considerable logistic capability of the kind that can be provided only by experienced professionals.

Yet, before facing the challenges, let us talk about the most important detail of planning an outdoor wedding – its location.  Apparently, it is not a simple feat to find a good site suitable for producing an outdoor wedding in a natural scenery.

This is most certainly true when looking for such a place in the central region.  The area between Hadera and Gadera is densely populated with very few rustic natural sites, providing the desired decor.  In addition, among those that do qualify, very few have the required infrastructure to produce a wedding of this kind.

Ancient landscape and an old Ottoman inn

Burge Binyamina is located on a crossroads that connected the Galilee with the coastal plain for centuries.

By the end of the 18^th century a splendid caravanserai (Ottoman wayside inn or khan) was built at this spot and is known to this very day as “The Burge.”

At those times, with the loosening of the central Ottoman rule, inns like the Burge had a prominent role in maintaining trade routes.  For over a century, the Burge served as a wayside inn.

It was considered one of the magnificent inns in the land and hosted many dignitaries.  The most famous guest who supposedly stayed in the Burge was the German Kaiser, Wilhelm the second.

The Kaiser and his entourage spent a night at the Burge during his tour of the Holy land just a few days prior to his famous meeting with  the Turks Pasha  and Herzl.

Handover the Burge to the pioneers

Several years after the Kaiser’s visit, the Burge was sold with its surrounding land to a Baron Rotschild’s company.

The surrounding land was given to some of the first settlers of Zichron Yaakov and the Burge was used for lodging workers.

Later, the settlement of Binyamina was founded close to it.  For years, the structure stood abandoned and unused at the south-west edge of the settlement.  In the 1990s’ the structure underwent preservation and renovation, transforming it to an event venue overlooking the Mediterranean landscape cascading over the slopes beneath it.

Located less than an hour from downtown Tel Aviv, the old inn is a perfect location for having an outdoor wedding immersed in nature.

As we have mentioned, when the task is production of an outdoor wedding, the scenery is the easiest part.
